No trains reach Charing Cross or Cannon Street on 14 and 15 November. Tunbridge Wells trains run to London Bridge on Saturday, Victoria on Sunday.
No Southeastern trains will run to or from London Charing Cross, Waterloo East or Cannon Street on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November. Engineering work is closing lines between the three terminals and New Cross.
For Tunbridge Wells, that means a different London terminal on each day, and fewer trains on the Saturday. The details come from Southeastern’s engineering notice for the weekend.
What changes from Tunbridge Wells
| Saturday 14 November | Sunday 15 November | |
|---|---|---|
| London terminal | London Bridge | London Victoria |
| Charing Cross to Hastings trains | Run to and from London Bridge, non-stop between London Bridge and Tonbridge on another route | Run to and from London Victoria |
| Journey time | About 20 minutes longer than usual | Southeastern gives no figure |
| Trains that only run between Charing Cross and Tunbridge Wells | Do not run | Not mentioned |
On Saturday, the Hastings line trains are your only direct London service. They run to London Bridge and take a different route between there and Tonbridge, which Southeastern says adds about 20 minutes. The extra trains that normally start and finish at Tunbridge Wells are cancelled, so expect a thinner service through the day.
On Sunday, Hastings line trains run to and from London Victoria instead of Charing Cross.
Getting across London
Southeastern says you can use the Underground between Victoria, Charing Cross, Embankment, Waterloo, Southwark, London Bridge, Cannon Street and Blackfriars at no extra cost.
The rest of November on this line
- This week: Southeastern lists no daytime closure through Tunbridge Wells, after the nine-day Grove Hill Tunnel closure that was due to end on 1 November. The 00:15 from Charing Cross and the 00:20 from Cannon Street to Tunbridge Wells are replaced by a bus from Sevenoaks until Friday 6 November (Southeastern, 3 November).
- Weekend of 7 and 8 November: Southeastern lists no work on the Hastings line (7 November, 8 November). Paddock Wood’s line to Strood has buses on the Sunday.
- Sunday 22 November: buses replace trains between Robertsbridge and Hastings, south of Tunbridge Wells (Southeastern, 22 November).
