The cheapest way in is a £15 early entry ticket bought online, which only works if you arrive before 8.30pm. A standard ticket on the gate is £30. Pantiles Events has the night, the band and every price on its own page (The Pantiles).

The rules that catch people out
These are from Pantiles Events’ general ticket terms, which cover all its events at The Pantiles (Pantiles Events: ticket terms):
- Tickets come by email, and are not refunded if the weather is bad. The event is outdoors, and goes ahead in bad weather unless the organisers or the authorities decide it is unsafe.
- Bags may be searched, and fireworks, flares and other dangerous items are banned.
- Staff can turn away anyone drunk, or anyone who cannot prove their age when asked.
- The general terms say “only adults 18+ may be granted access”, but the New Year’s Eve page sells family and child tickets. If you are bringing children, the event page is the one to go by, and you can check with the organiser on manager@pantilesevents.com or 07425 865 270.
Other ways to spend New Year’s Eve in town
- Cinderella at the Assembly Hall Theatre ends its run on New Year’s Eve, with shows at 11am and 3pm. Our pantomime page has the prices.
- Christmas at Bedgebury, the light trail near Goudhurst, has its last night on 31 December. Timed entry runs from 4pm, and parking must be booked; see our Bedgebury page.
- The Polar Express finishes the day before, on Wednesday 30 December.
Parking and getting home
The Pantiles car park (TN4 8HG, 111 spaces, open 24 hours) charges from 8am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and is free at all other times, so it is free from 6pm on New Year’s Eve. The council says charges apply on bank holidays, so a car left overnight will be charged from 8am on New Year’s Day (Tunbridge Wells Borough Council: Pantiles car park). Six town car parks charge a £2.40 night rate after 6pm; the list is on our parking page.
By train: National Rail says services on some routes finish earlier than normal on New Year’s Eve, and that its guide to the special after-midnight services on London routes will be published in early December (National Rail). Our Christmas travel page has the Southeastern position for the whole fortnight, and closures are on our roadworks and travel page.
We will add the full programme and any change to the times when Pantiles Events publishes them.
